The elusive 7/8 bore master

Hmmm.. I know a couple guys who run the hydraulic throwout bearing, not sure if the one mentioned here but they said it works perfect. Stock ranger master. I used the f550 master and external 280z slave on the black truck, it "works" but you will not be doing ANY hard driving. That setup will not work for that.

I have a Tilton hydraulic slave behind a L33 5.3 LS and TR-3550. I cannot get the clutch to disengage. There is not enough travel, its good to know that someone else has gotten a Tilton and TKO to work on a Ranger. I guess I have air still in the system or its out of adjustment. Although by the looked of it threw the clutch fork window in the bell-housing its in the right position. I have a 2000 Ranger so that might come into play. Maby I'm not getting enough travel because my pedals are designed for a 95+ Master Cylinder.

I'm not using an internal slave but I too needed the large bore master cyl. on my toploader 4 spd. I went with the F550 Super Duty master/slave kit. I did not use the slave cyl., but did use the master cyl. and It worked just fine for me. I'll bet I spent a month looking for that master! Hope this helps , Good Luck !

I bought a F550 Master and new pedals. I wanna try getting it working first before I swap everything out since a member whom posted here has the same setup as me in his 1988 Ranger. Maby he can shed some light on my situation.
