A buddy of mine just put in a new Pioneer cd player in my 2000 Ranger. Sounds and works great, but the parking lights, tail lights and dash lights do not work, so I cannot drive my truck at night. Already checked the wiring and it all looks good to go. Checked the fuses and they are all still good. Does anybody have any suggestions? I suck at these kind of electrical problems.

did you check them by looking at them or with a test light? did you check the fuses under the hood or dash or both?

yeah...I looked at the fuses under the hood and in the door...only looked, didnt test them yet

might have shorted out the orange illum wire... i remember one of my buddies hooking up his deck an amps.. he used the orange illum wire as a remote turn on.. was wondering why the amp wasnt working with the lights on haha..

found the problem and fixed it

*raises hand in guilt*

When I first installed my head unit in my Ranger YEEEAAARRRSSS ago I somehow effed up the orange wire and a fuse popped. I just got the truck and didn't know there was a second fuse box under the hood. Yeah a fuse popped, replaced it, and problem solved!
