Been chasing exhaust leaks on my 4L V6.

The manifold flange bolts going to the collector on the driver's side were rusted to nothing and I couldn't retorque that connection so I decided to replace the manifold itself.

While removing the manifold, the EGR tube rotated and (presumably) stopped sealing so I bought a new one of those.

Also bought a new EGR valve that I probably didn't need.

Manifold:
Exhaust Manifold by DORMAN (OE SOLUTIONS) - 674-379

Tube:
Dorman 598-162 Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Line

These two parts SHOULD be compatible, without requiring any extra adaptors, but I can't see anything that would actually allow the tube to seal inside the manifold. Flared end of the tube slides into manifold, and outer (male) nut tightens down, but there is nothing to actually force the flared end to seal up. No "shoulder" in the manifold to prevent the tube from going all the way in.

I took a closer look at the parts I removed and they are 100% identical. Even that EGR tube just sticks into the manifold...

What am I missing?
