Anyone have the part number for the Ford Econoline mechanical fuel pump that is susposed to fit doing a 302ci swap? I see it referenced, but haven't seen one installed.

I'm pretty sure this is the one. I've been trying to sell this new piece of equipment for some time now, but so far, no takers.

Oh, well.

Found a picture of it and I must be missing something. Says inverted, but looks the same as a stock pump to me. I was expecting it to be made upside down like the ones on my inline sixes. Vehicle listed is for a 74 Econoline. What I've read say's 71-73 w/power steering is the one needed. Guess I'll look at them side by side, my parts guy will order both for me to check. Appreciate it.

I put the regular one in, it fits fine, don't let the crack heads tell ya a mechanical fuel pump won't work. Ya don't need an "inverted" pump, they're full of crap.

Sure looks like there's plenty of room.

No prob. It was a pump that's included in a Ranger 302 swap kit. But yes, it is for an Econoline and it is the "inverted" style for some clearance or something like that.

That pic is of an inverted, with the brass "legs" pointing up. Regular ones, they point down. You can tell, because the mounting surface. the two holes are offset to the bottom of the block on both styles.

fuel pump pics please

do u have any pics of a mech pump on yours clearing the steering box?:icon_surprised:
