That is a nice truck, it would be fun to have.

I have never seen a dash like that though, usually it is the swirly wood or brushed metal looking plastic.

What is this thing(i put an arrow pointing to it)

Brake controller?

Yeah, that looks like an electric brake controller. Dang it, I remember those straight-grain dashes from the days back at the dealership. Now I'm going to have to find one!

Damn its to bad that isnt still in santa clara, CA. Thats where my parents are and I will be in that area in a week. to bad it had to relocated to montana.

my '88 had a simialr dash (but with a tach). dont care for the steering wheel, but other wise, WOW! i wish i could buy it. only 2 things i would change, better trans and 4wd. but i could live with a 2wd again if i had to.

Man i would love to have that, i would simply install a small turbo (no big deal) and just run it. That would be so cool to have, not to mention the extra diesel!

holy good god....i have seen diesel rangers but i have NEVER,NEVER,EVER seen an original, unrestored 83 diesel ANYTHING in such nice shape....im gonna talk to the girlfriend about this one....this is serious. thanks jim!!

placed a bid...

so far im the highest bidder but there is 4 days left.....will keep you posted...

good luck! wish i could get in on that. a dually kit would go good with the sound of the motor. i saw a ranger diesel once that had a turbo, dont know what year, it was also a 2wd std shift. i could have gotten it, saw it on a dealer lot after the owner had passed on. it had a ton of miles on it though and way too much body rot to be worthwhile buying.
