as the title would suggest I discovered a very early Mountain Dew bottle cleaning up my deceased grandfathers garage.

well ain't that cool wish the glass bottles where still used just had a better taste to them. and a mountain dew bottle doesn't look that c\good any more

lmao i love that bottle! cool find man

I used to have a bunch of those lol!
Some had different "bottled by" names, cool find.

The "traditional hillbilly style" makes me think of moonshine which would explain why "it'll tickle yore innards"

I bet if one came across a bottle of this era still sealed that could be worth something

the bottle in the hillbillys hand as well

Brings back memories

Hey, I remember those when they were new...
Your Grandpa's garage you say...:icon_confused:
Crap, I must be gettin' really old now.

I know the feeling......I remember them from my Dads gas station in the early 70's.

His cod was old age.... Just sayin

Lookin' at the bottle's other side, it looks like it could be from a moonshine company, haha.

HOLY CRAP.....you remember the early 70's.............just how old is ya????:icon_twisted:

I missed out on the 70's unfortunately. I'm only able to experience it through family and friends and their souvenirs such as this.

That might be worth some serious money to bottle collectors. My dad grabbed a couple of Dr. Pepper bottles from LBJ's garbage dump on his ranch when he went to fix the power problem they had at the time. They've been valued at over $1000 per.

You might be on to something there. a quick glance on ebay turned up two over $1000. then some are under under $1. wonder what makes the difference.
