So my Ranger ran great for a few weeks after the engine swap. Then it quit. Wouldn't even crank. Fussed and fussed with it in my 5 free bearable weather minutes a day and came to the conclusion it was a bad starter.

I got Napa to warranty my starter (had the life time warranty on it) and it still wouldn't start. Then Monday I realized that the spare solenoid I tried while fussing with it was just hanging toff the big cables. It wasn't bolted to anything. And that it probably needs a ground to work right. One that it gets by being bolted to the body of the truck.

Anyway, much as I love the B2, and as much fun as that little bugger is to drive, I'm taking the Ranger to work tomorrow. I need to clear out my scrap pile and the B2 smells funny inside after getting soaked in a storm Friday night.

I need to stop hitting my head on things.

lol, it happens man.

Speaking of smelly trucks....I lost half a bottle of Power Steering fluid being my seat. Smells great!

i agree, this should've been posted in the idiot thread, c'mon people! lol

Huuuurummmmmmmpppphhhh! It made complete sense to me :icon_bounceblue:

Being a professional tech how easy is it to forget rule number one?? Never over look the obvious. Been there done that a few times. You get so used to working on complicated problems sometimes you forget to check the simple things like fuses and electrical connections. Dont sweat it, happens to the best of us. :icon_welder: Once drove 300 miles to put a fuse in a bulldozer because it would not crank. The tech who had been working on the machine pulled the ignition (blade) fuse, determined it was good just by looking at it but didnt actually check it with a meter.. oops..
