Duraspark Carb

The 1st one is too big, the 2nd has the right venturi size, 1.08

What other models can I use? I've heard that some 2100 model carbs will work as well.

This one has possibilities do not waste you money on the first one. Buying on ebay is allways a gamble this one has the kickdown lever for a auto tranny but will work just fine for a manual tranny. You want 1.08 venturi or smaller and do yourself a favor and put #42 jets in it as you do the rebuild it has the large thred jets if your asked. You can do a dry float adjustment but make sure and do a wet float after you install the carb. 3/4 inch from the center of the fuel in the bowl to the top of the bowl. Pics dont do justice you need to see the venturi cluster pulled out and check the throttle shaft for slop. If the shaft has alot of up and down slop it is a direct vacuum leak and the throttle will be erratic on the return. Most guys selling carbs on ebay will not give you a refund for a piece of crap so be real cautious who you give your money to.

Do you have any other ideas for somewhere I could buy one?

I wouldn't mind paying a little more for something that's going to work well and require less work on my part.

I've got a really small amount of free time these days and I'd rather not spend it cleaning up a carb.

Reading the description on the second carb the guy is a christian and he says it is ready to install. Plug and play for that price it sounds like a pretty good deal. Just get a spacer felpro # 60529 and a carb gasket. put the spacer the gasket and the carb on and just get the nuts snug do not overtighten. Once you get a carb let us know and we will get it dialed in. You need that spacer to plug the vacuum leaks on the bottom of the carb and insulate the carb from the manifold.

Thanks for the pointers! I'll be sure to try and pick-up that carb... hopefully nobody swipes it from under me.

I grabbed the carb for around $100 shipped! I just rebuilt the stock carb in my ranger, so I may just see what kind of gaskets, etc this one needs and just rip them out of that one. It looks clean otherwise... don't even think I'll need to dip it in carb cleaner.
