Wanted to do some light tinting of my marker lights on my other car. Was going to use the duplicolor Metalcast in MC206 - Smoke Anodized. It's translucent paint. I used the red version once to "remove" the amber on my original tail lights and it worked great.
So, went to Autozone, Oreilly's and Advanced. Every one of them sell all the Metalcasts EXCEPT the smoked one. Why you ask? My guess is that is that the Metalcasts are $7.99 and the two taillight tint paints (VHT and Rustoliem) sell for $12.99. VHT is part of Duplicolor i believe so not sure if it is Duplicolor thing or the retailer's thing. Just out of principle, I did not buy it and will find the Metalcast online.
Just an FYI incase you are thinking of trying the smoke Metalcast
