Gump got it. Retainer clip for lock cylinder.
 
Neat.
 
And I've always thought it was the switch that controlled the interior lights when the doors are opened or closed. It moves, so it's plausible. LOL!!
 
Yep, lock cylinder retainer.
 
pull it out and see what happens :p
