drop in a 351w

A good 351W, with a decent cam and a nice heathly 4bbl is all the power you'll ever need.

All the power I will ever need? You must be talkin to somebody else cuz that aint nowhere near the power I need!

I was kicking the ass of nitrous fed 5.0 Rangers,SBC S-10's and even a BBC S-10 a few years ago in my 2.3t Ranger! I'm thinkin about 750hp sounds about right for my next one.

I think the biggest problem will be most of those headers are only 1 1/2 tubes. Even if you find some 1 5/8 they would be pushing it on a decent 351w.

I have a 408 that ran 9.50's in a Fairmont on a 200 shot and Im converting it to a single turbo with a blow thru carb for a Ranger. I think making some forward facing turbo headers would be the easiest way to get a 351 in a Ranger. I was just gonna run it on nitrous again but the header clearance on the driverside convinced me to just go turbo like I planned cuz it would actually be easier.

How many on here have done a 351w swap?

302,351,350,360,395,400,454.....for v8's.

It can be done. It's not much harder than a 302 swap, just a little more expensive. I have done both a 302 and a 351. There is less aftermarket for the odd things you can get for a 302, like headers. As far as a 460 that can be done too. You will need mostly all custom parts to put it in. I'm working on one of those too, that engine will be in the bed.

I contemplated putting a big block under the hood but for what I'm doing with the truck it will be much better suited in the bed. I'm not that crazy, most monster trucks are the same configuration.
