So... I've found myself under my Ranger once again.

I've pulled the front axle shafts and diff down for repair, but have fallen into a situation where I need to drive my truck. My question is 'Can I throw the spindles, wheel bearings, yada yada yada back together and drive like a 2WD pickup at highway speeds?'

Thanks in advance,
Tom

BTW it's a 88 Ranger STX.

Yep, go for it.

The 4wd stuff does nothing during daily driving.

The aluminum diff housing does add some rigidity to axle beam, but just normal driving shouldn't be an issue. Just get it back together as soon as you can.
