Driveshaft Vibration

I thought the X-member was a structural part of the frame? IDK if it is or not but I don't think it not being there will hurt anything....

Its not structural at all as it is only attached to the lower pat of the frame rail. Feel free to toss it.

Problem Resolved. I'm f****** furious. It was a bad new u-joint all along, I didn't notice until I dropped the driveshaft. The joints were froze. I even pressed them out, and pressed them in again, same result. exchanged them at autozone, and Im good to go. Quiet as a mouse.

thanks

Hey, thanks for a final update. It is nice to know what eventually solved the problem. To many threads just leave you hanging...

Yeah, it's nice to put this behind me. Don't take for granted when you get new parts that they are good. There is a little vibration, but barely noticeable due to a slight warp/worn slip joint on the shaft. it's really hard to notice. It's quiet now

WHAT!?!?!? AUTOZONE!?!?!? Glad to hear you got it figured out man. :icon_thumby:

See me for the parts next time. :icon_thumby:

Yeah, thats where I originally got them a couple months ago. So. Thanks man
