Im kinda new to this site but have been going to it recently and i need some advice and help on this topic.... recently had to replace my center driveshaft bearing in 2010..stock one had the rubber housing for the bearing destroyed from wear.i used a replacement from aap and it wasnt as beefy as the stock part. i ended up putting it on and all was fine until a week or so i've had recurring vibrations when cruising in n or over 30mph. i looked at my bearing and the rubber cushion is about to pop out of the housing! i've recently had to grease this bearing cause of high speed runs and it'll make real loud whines but sometimes it smells like burning rubber and i know its the rubber cushion. i got a ton of play in the driveshaft. i replaced this before at my cousins w/o a press but it would've lasted longer with one..i think so. but anyways I was wondering if anyone knew where i can get the original part or an aftermarket part that can handle the abuse...i am opening the truck up abit so i need beefier parts. i have a 8.8 dif m5r1 tranny 3.73 gears with 225's for specs. what tools should i need? what should i pay attention to? i know to mark the driveshaft on how it lines up. if anyone knows a guide or has one or if anybody did this job themselves i would greatly appreciate the tips....
