I've been hunting a strange clunk like sound that only happens when I start to come to a stop while in reverse. I've greased the slip yoke with the Ford PTFE lubricant and replaced both U Joints on the rear driveshaft to yield no change. Any ideas?

Hows the u bolts?

On the front driveshaft? Not sure as I've never checked them. It's a 2000 ranger and this happens in 2WD.

Sorry, posted before thinking. They look fine but I can check again.
No the u bolts that bolt the axle to the springs. My buddy had a 94 F150 doing this and they had come loose for one reason or another.
