The rear drive shaft on my '94 B4000 failed, and I'd like to do the 1 piece swap but I'm having trouble finding one. Here is the basic question:

Does the Extended Cab count as short or long wheel base?

I know it sounds crazy, but there's a standard cab/short bed, standard cab/long bed and extended cab/short bed... The salvage yards are no help, and ordering a reman online only offers "short wb" or "long wb" as options.

The ext cab is at 126" and is the long wheel base. Reg cab/short box is at 112" while the reg cab /long box is at 118" wheel base. These are for the later models but not much changed.

For a '94 it's 108"/114" WB for the Reg cab Shortbed/Longbed, 125" for the Supercab.

Supercab trucks are the only ones to get a two-piece driveline however, so those are the only ones you should be concerned with (you'd be looking for '98-'11 Supercabs or '01-'05 Explorer Sport-Trac trucks for a one-piece shaft for yours).

Hope that helps.
