Double DIN video deck wont fit double DIN bezel

I just bought a JVC KW-NT300 6.1" double DIN video deck deck, purchased an install kit and went to install it but the deck sleeve is about a 1/4" larger than the overall opening for the radio Even trimming the top and bottom edge of the opening as per the instructions wont make a difference because I would still have to cut about a 1/4" into the bezel. Is there such thing as an oversized double DIN or are there aftermarket radio bezels for this situation??

thanks, but I read that already. the probleme isnt that I need to to TRIM the top and bottom edges of the opening, its that I need to CUT into the bezel beyond the double din opening. The guys at visions told me Iam SOL and have to cut it....so I guess I cut.

Sounds like your going to need some custom fiberglass work done to fit that in your oem bezel..

You shouldn't need to cut. Does the hu itself fit through the bezel? Mine did, but the hu mounting system was FAR larger than cutting the bezel would allow. The answer is a dd install kit for a ford/Mazda. I got mine from car toys, shouldn't cost much more than $15. (I work at a dealership, so I have no idea what normal cost is)

Are you trying to install the radio "cage" that came with the radio? If so, your doing it wrong.

Yup, that was the problem. Took it to an acquaintance who is a pro installer and he showed me what I was doing wrong. I had no idea I was supposed to ditch the "cage".
