I have my car 2004 Ford ranger and i'm having with my car door locks. The problem is that the door locks stick in hot weather. The button used to open the door gets stuck in the depressed position and the door cannot be opened from the inside. I dnt know what's wrong at this point. if anyone have some idea of how to fix this kindly suggest me . Thnx in advance

Lube it and see if that helps. If not...time to change a few parts. Easy to do as well.

You'll have to pull the doorpanel to see what's going on, if you have power locks it could be the actuator. "bro" is right though, it usually isn't a big deal to fix a doorlock issue. It could be a linkage problem, maybe even a plastic piece fell out or something. It should be obvious once you open it up and look. The last one I had to fix was just sticky- lubed it wan worked it back and forth until it was freed up. Note- WD40 is not a lubricant, but a penetrant. Works good freeing stuff up but won't last long term keeping it working. Find a good lube if this turns out to be the issue.
