A friend of mine that did a really shitty wiring job (L Speaker was wired to right, right is left) hooked it up and now my dome light doesnt work at all. Also everytime i turn my lights off or on the deck resets itself, but im mostly concerned about my dome lights because its really useless at night when it doesnt work!! Does this have to do with my wiring>?

The Dome light itself will have 12v all the time, key on/off doesn't matter.
It is activated by grounding it, i.e. the door switches are grounds, the light switch grounds it, if so equipped the switch on the dome light is a ground.
If there is a switch on the dome light it can often be set to "off" by mistake, so dome light will not work with door open or light switch.

He might have spliced into the dome light power since it was 12v with key off, but that wouldn't explain why the reset on light switch use

There is no switch on my dome light, it turns on automatically when the door is open, but i can't even turn it on my turning my light switch to the left all the way, it literally stopped working inside and outside once my friend did a horrible wiring job on my aftermarket stereo deck

Looks like on the 1988 the dome light doesn't have power 24/7, opps my bad

have a look here

looks like there is a common fuse
And the Black/Light Blue wire sends power from either door switch to the dome light.
The Black/Pink wire sends power fron the light switch to the dome light.

I would test the dome light bulb first, make sure it works, or has continuity.
Then apply 12v to the Black/light Blue wire at either door switch and see if dome light comes on, if so then wiring up to the light is OK.

The Light Grey/Yellow wire supplies Dome Light power to light switch and door switches, AND RADIO, if he cut this at the wrong place that may be your problem, or if he did a bad splice.
