Does any companies rent engine hoists?

I can buy one for 75-100 bucks but only plan on using it once. My garage is crowded. I am not sure of where to look I know auto zone doesnt have them. We dont have any rental companies close. Maybe I looking in the wrong place? Thanks for any ideas. I'm thinking of just making one with 4x4's and 2x6's and a come along.

I rented one from my local NAPA guy several years ago. He did not have one so he ordered a new one and used it to rent out to his customers. I have seen them on Craigslist for around $75. Use it once and resell it after you are done.

I have rented them from equipment rental companies. They rent all kinds of things from tools to trailers.

Look at local buy and sell or craigslist, many people buy, use, and then sell engine hoists and engine stands, cheaper than renting usually, especially if you need it longer than you thought you would

Just looked at my local craigslist, there are 4 hoists and 2 engine stands for sale

I hate to have to store one. I just cleaned out our storage are and garage is packed with old motorcycle parts and a pile of 235/75/15 tires.lol Since I didnt have a big enough list I got an old go kart and mini bike to rebuild for grandkids. I started to buy enough stuff to make one. I just need to get some wheels from harbor freight and build it. I can take it apart and use the wood for other stuff.

I ended up buying an older one that doesn't fold up for 40. It looks like it worked out.
