brainstorming & dreaming again.
I'm looking for a rear axle that's 5 x 5.5 and has ABS/speed sensor.
anything newer won't have 5x5.5 from what I've read.
thanks

Here's what rear axles where available in 1992. Looks like Canada did not have them.

ABS, 2.73 ratio
ABS, 3.08 ratio
ABS, 3.55 ratio
ABS, 4.10 ratio
w/o ABS; (Canada market), 2.73 ratio
w/o ABS; (Canada market), 3.08 ratio
w/o ABS; (Canada market), 3.55 ratio
w/o ABS; (Canada market), 4.10 ratio

I believe you are correct, they went to metric in 1997 except the f250hd/350 which stayed the same till 1999.

Rangers and RBVs never came with 5X5.5, only 5X4.5 until the T6 came out and went to 6 lugs.

With or without ABS it should have a tone ring '94 or newer I suspect or was it '92? Whenever they went to the electric speedo, my F350 is driven off the rear axle tone ring...

92 went to the electronic speedo

true, but........ it's time for a change :icon_thumby:
I have 2-1/2 Rangers, lots of tools, and being retired have plenty of time ( I hope ).
even more noteworthy, the wiffie is retiring and I need something to get me outta da house :icon_rofl:

besides, the 8.8 with 5 x 5.5 will also fit the '78 Bronco that I may someday rebuild.

yep, I saw that on Car-Part too.

E150 stayed 5x5.5 for a while longer, but they are wider and have more diff offset.
