DJM drop kit

DJM has a purty good shock, and Belltech makes a really nice on as well.

I know most companies who sale drop shocks will tell you how much drop there shocks are good for.

But I would say go with a 3" drop shock from Belltech, get the nitro active 2's. They are some of the better ones on the market.

thanks for the advice i appreciate it, i did a little further research and it looks like those belltech nitro actives will fit nicely

You don't have to change your front shocks from stock length. The beams only change where the spindle mounts in relation to everything else. I am running stock length KYB MonoMaxs up front and love them.

The rear, yes, you will need new ones.

if you dont want to risk it with the stock shocks stylintrucks also has the DJM Cal-Max shocks that fit perfectly, i got the exact same lowering kit

Put Toxic Shocks on all corners after my drop. Big difference in ride and control over the factory tubes.

Did a "duh" on the first rear. I put the jack under the arm, rather than the axle. Had to use a big screwdriver for leverage to get the shock to depress enough to get it in the hanger :D

The other three went in without problems :)

I am not a huge fan of Toxics. They handle nice, but I never had luck with the life of them. I would only get about 2 years out of them.

yea the directions on the djm 3'5' kit says to use the standard springs the only other part you have to buy is the rear drop shocks, which i bought a set of four from suspension max i hope they are good. im installing it all today and DJM's instructions say something about extending the tie rods does anyone know if you have to do this. I would like to know before i start haha

hey guys thanks for all the help, it was greatly appreciated, but now the drop is done and there are pics in the "lets see what out there" forum if you want to see how it turned out

quick question about your ride, where you get that grill? and was it a direct replacement or do you have to do some cutting or something?

edit: question was for mbub16 and illegal concepts

no i just got it off of ebay for 50$, there are a lot of different ones you can get, but i liked that one the best.

You'll have to cut the bottom part of your grill off from the top that runs under the hood. You can order a new "trim" piece that comes just like that though, there is no grill attached to it. I did that when my truck got hit and ordered a new grill from Summitracing.com.
