Distributor and Power Problems

That looks like the right part E6 indicates 1986 they are torque sensitive and probably has a adaptor for the block you will find out. Put some teflon tape on the threads and torque it close to the same as when you remove it.

Well I have no choice but to try that knock sensor from China. Because I called Ford and it is a discontinued part. And every salvage yard in 50 miles doesnt have it. Some have complete motors, so they wont take it off. So if that chinese knock sensor dont work, I think I just try a carb 302 or just say ****ed it and sell the truck. Not sure yet.

I got the knock sensor from China. And surprise surprise it dont work. So I am screwed. Any advise at this point would be nice. Should I look around from another 2.9 to drop in?? Or should I try a carbed 302?? Or should I try to jury rig a knock sensor from a different vehicle?? The knock sensor just detects the spark plug firing, so rigging up a two wire knock sensor from something else might work?? Any thoughts on that??
