disciplerocks's Ford Focus "build" thread

Went back over some wiring. I had forgotten that I ran the switched ECU power straight to the battery. Rewired that and found out the O2s use a separate power source than the rest of the sensors so I ran them to the Focus O2 power wire.

Also picked me up a refurbished battery today for $30. The old one wouldn't hold a charge at all. It was the stock battery though so I think 9 years was a good run.

Talked to a buddy who is into Mustangs. He had a Moroso bump steer kit brand new sitting in his garage. Picked it up from him today and installed it.

9 years on a battery isnt that good. My dad got 10 out of one once then I took it and used it for 2 more.

What did you guys use, EverStarts?

Ive used stock batteries, interstates, canadian tire, another that i cant remember but its a deep cycle l. ((Winch battery) never get more then 3 years. And all my vehicle managed to sync up somehow so now i get to buy 2 for the f350, 2 for my samurai, and one for each of my rangers at once....

Best battery I ever had was a Motorcraft, it came stock on a pickup I bought new, it lasted almost 14 years, and NEVER gave me a bit of trouble.

I never really liked the way the brake line ran after I swapped the knuckles to opposite sides, but now I realized it hits the control arm. So I had to swap calipers to opposite sides as well.

And a few poser shots.

You get it drivable yet? Waiting to see some videos

I tried to drive it around the culdesac and thats when I found out about the brake line hitting the control arm. I couldn't turn fast enough and ended up in the neighbors yard lol.

I think I missed it, buy why did you swap knuckles?

The one I was talking about was a Diehard Gold. I guess in that instance it is worth pointing out that I took it out of the van and put it in my carb'ed 78 Oldsmobile and so it still had enough juice to kick the engine over with two dead cells.

To move the rack and pinion on the front side
