disciplerocks's B2 build thread

Gotta love the lifetime warranty. Got me some new shocks.

What application are those shocks for?

Think they were for a full size Dodge. I just looked up the size I needed on a Monroe length chart.

Gotta problem. I can't bleed my rear brakes. Not getting any fluid. I traced it down to the ABS unit by the fuel filter. Getting fluid to it, but not past. I think this my be why my brake light stays on. Now I don't know if the unit is bad, or something else. May try to replace it, but for now I am just going bypass it.

Can anyone help me find the right fitting? I found like 6 double female 3/16 fittings.

Dustin,
Got two for ya
1. I ran all my breather lines together (on my truck) using some clear aquarium hose from Rural king (it was cheaper by the ft) and vacuum Ts. Ran the rear up to the front stake pocket on the bed and put a loop in it. Then started at the front axle and ran a line back to just behind the cab and T'd it into the rear one. Then T'd in the trans and tcase. I haven't done it yet, but plan to put some kind of filter on it. No idea what for, if I get water up that high I got other issues. Haven't noticed any foaming or backflow and think it's helped keep the inflow of water down. Been thinking of running WCB2 about the same, but run a line up inside the exo, figure out when I get to it.
2. Ya got that monroe chart on digits? I'm going to need some shocks, unless I plan on pulling a Slo-Vo. :icon_rofl: And I'm not liking the prices on them fancy shocks, their proud of that stuff.

Bypass it. I did in my 89. Couldn't figure why for years why I had no rear brakes. Then on day it sprung a leak there. Bypassed it and WOW. Brakes worked.... :yahoo:

There's a bit more weight in the rear of a B2 than a bedless Ranger.

Just got back from AZ with a double female fitting. Hope to have her drivable tomorrow.

You'll be amazed at how much better your braking is with it bypassed.

On my b2, I was changing front brakes one day and realized I've never checked the rear-- I've owned it about 2 years at this point. So I pop the drum off- pads looked brand new. So I got to l got to looking, I didn't have fluid back there. Figured it to be the abs crap so I bypassed it and I was amazed at the stopping power. It's great. So we checked the EX's rear pads- and behold: new pads there to. So bypassed it same day
