disciplerocks's B2 build thread

I have one of those hanging on my garage wall along with a flexplate too.

Well it wasn't that. The spacer was installed. Guess it was just stuck to the flexplate when i put it on. But that means I have 2 bad pumps.

did you take the first one apart and see if it was broke??? if it is, take the second one apart, and if it isn't broke, put those two gears in the first one and see of that works, just make sure they are the same size and all.

the newer bell housing might have different ports or something.

Yeah the pump, and fluid pathways are different between the 2. Taking off a pump and inspecting is my next step, but i am also fighting the motor in the Focus. Having 2 things that need my attention sucks. And that doesn't include the fiance!

I feel for ya......let's hope the fiance doesn't overheat waiting her turn.... :pissedoff:

I know this sounds stupid and you probably did this but did you fill the TC up before installing it?

It was still pretty much full

Third time's the charm. Got out of work early today and felt a little energetic so I pulled a tranny from the u-pull and got the pump and TC from it. Then installed them on the B2, fired it up, and she started spitting fluid. Now I can finally get this thing running.

Got all the lines hooked back up and started it again and the damn thing is leaking from the bellhousing. Going to have to drop it again. I can't win.

Sounds like the B2 just don't want an auto tranny :D

Dropped it. Seal looks good and so does the TC snout. Anything else I should look at?

I would replace any seals while you are there and not trust one that you dont know its age, mileage, etc... about.

Its a $9 seal. Yeah its getting replaced. Just didn't know if anything else could be the cause.
