Did you install a lift or leveling kit?

Either looks okay. Window cleaning jobs in the morning. Weather might be iffy by the 29th.

If what they say about the winter being a cold and snowy one is correct, it's only going to get worse. I can clear out the driveway and the garage so the truck can be pulled into the garage. There isn't a ton of room but enough to get the work done if need be. I've had each truck in there and had enough room to get some pretty heavy maintenance done on the 1998 & 2011 with the door closed and heat going. It's all about proper positioning.

Great, thanks, will let you know for sure.

It looks like that lift kept a bit of the factory front end rake, yes?

I want to do a 2-2.5" lift on mine but I'd like a little of the front-down rake so I don't look front-up when towing.

BDS has a 2" kit that looks good. I got a 1.5" from Truxxx. The Ranger is a tight fit in my garage already and I had good success with the front and rear Truxxx lift I had on my old Sport Trac, quality product.
My Trac had 2.5" front and 1.25" rear and I did wear out the upper ball joints about every two years and it was best to get longer end links for the sway bars.

It was actually real close to level. No I've added some gear to the bed I sit about a half an inch lower in the rear. I have an add a leaf kit for the rear but life hasn't gave me a chance to get them on yet. That should give me about an inch back in the rear

I went with Superlift 2" on mine still haven't worn the factory 265/65/17 Hancook's out yet. I'd like to replace before winter but they probably have another 5-10k in them if it's warm out. I plan to replace with 265/65 Toyo's. I would like to go up in size but I drive a lot for work and I'm averaging 24.4 MPG over 60k miles so I don't want to mess that up.

You could go to 265/70's without an issue and probably not even have to tweak the speedometer. I went from 255/65-17 to 265/70-17 and after my bud adjusted the tire size in Forscan there was no difference in mpg. (I got Forscan but the cable I bought didn't work.) While he was in there we enabled "Bambi Mode" so the low beams, high beams, and fog lights can all be on at the same time. Lots of deer where I live.

I'm going to have to learn more about this Forscan. Hearing a lot of good things about it . . . .

It's mostly a way to tweak some settings beyond what you can do with the dash controls. There is a lot of stuff in there, most of which you shouldn't mess with, but a few things are handy such as tire size, Bambi Mode, turn off the engine sound through the speakers (which apparently my base sound system doesn't have). You can download the basic program for free but the proper cable costs about $60. Apparently I got a cheaper cable that required downloading a driver but the website for the driver no longer existed. My bud brought his laptop and cable to the Ford Nationals and we tweaked it there. Tire size you have to play with, we adjusted to the actual circumference of my new tires in centimeters and the speedo was way off against the GPS so we had to back it down some. For 265/70-17 tires 2400 cm was spot-on.

There are YouTube videos and threads on www.Ranger5G.com.

Guys,

Forgive the ignorance but "crash bars"?

The bolt on bars in the front and back of the front wheel well. If you look in the the wheel well, you will see them in the lower corners of the wheel well.

You can also add Terrain Management and Trail control on non FX4 models with it and purchase of the switches. Enable offroad screens and stuff. But if you don't know what your doing you can also make your truck a brick so beware and careful. But there are tons of videos on YouTube about it.

Guys, I'm kind of liking this lift HERE.

It seems to reasonably complete, and for about $350 I can get it with new rear N2 shocks.

I'm not sure how I feel about a 3-inch kit without new upper control arms.

I am going to call Tuff and talk about that very subject.
