Did something stupid

Had the dash of my 98 B2500 out to change the heater core. Got it back together and all the electrics work (turns over, lights, blower motor...) but it's not firing. Went back in and checked all the electrical connections but found nothing wrong.

Anybody have any ideas? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Craig

Did you pull the dash out completely or just enough to get the heater core out?

I know the 98 isn't exactly the same as a 96 but...there are a few things like the GEM module in that area on the 96...but many things wouldn't work if that was disrupted...the inertia switch is in that area too...if you disrupt that you won't get fuel flowing...it shuts off the pump...

So...check all the basics if you haven't already done so...and it would help if you listed what you checked...like fuel pressure...whether you hear the fuel pump kick in...

Bingo, fuel pump inertia switch. I never knew such a thing existed. Thanks very much.

You're welcome! Good to hear it was something simple...:icon_thumby:
