I agree with Adsm and Mac.

so is the transmission blown? it says he put a new one in / on it...if it is a non driving vehicle that is going on 30 years old it is worth 500 bucks tops. even if he threw a "working" transmission in the bed for you to swap out. Then there are the other issues pointed out in the replies above. If it rand drove fine, I would say maybe (and I am being generous here...)900 bucks. but if it does not move under its own power, it is a parts truck, and worth 500.

And post up some pics of that Comet

yeah the price seemed kinda off. and i dont know what he meant about the transmission. im trying to trade my car for something at least close to equal in value.

be warned, it is many colors and has 2 too many doors haha.

the asking price is bit high for what its worth, but its a reliable car that id like to see at least 2k for. also, i didnt put those wheels on it

I doubt it has a different t-case, more than likely a 1350. The 1354 didn't come out until the 4.0 came out around '90.

Not bad looking. Definitely a solid project car, and even though it is a 4 door, it is still cool.

And worth waaaay more than that pos ranger with the blown tranny.

My 83 was exactly as described, 4 cylinder 4x4 4 speed. My dad bought it 14 years ago off the side of the road for $500. Was an old farm truck and had its fair share of body damage.

But when I got it after I graduated in 2007, it hasn't been the same since.

thanks, man. it doesnt look as good as when i got it, but its definitely in better shape.
