detailing a F150?

okay so my uncle wants me to detail his 2006 full size F150 ( wash, wax, and clean the inside) and he told me to figure out what i would charge, but the thing is i have never detailed anyone else's truck and im not sure on what to charge. He will be providing all the supplies that i need, whats a good fair price?

Personally I don't take money for work from real close friends/family. If they insist, I use it to buy us both food/drinks.

Going rate around here is $100, roughly.

I'd charge him 50-60. He gets a deal, you make a little money. He insists on paying you so that keeps him happy too. I doubt he'll find a place cheaper that does reputable work.

You'll probably spend a good 2-3 hours on it if you want it done nice.

I think you should detail it, not talk money, then when you're done and he sees the work he will be happy enough to give you a nice pay for the job you did. I owned a detailing comapny for 4 years, Close friends and family were handled that way, the cars were done, they handed me money, and I never looked at what they gave me in front of them. Look when you get home and you may be surprised.
