4x4 is not working in my beloved 88 Ranger XLT. went to replace module thinking it wasn't working and found that the 8 wire connector is very brittle from age and NOT holding the ground wire in place. Contacted FMC who indicated part is obsolete. Tried Ebay, RockAuto, JC Whitney and local junk yards with no luck. Hopefully my fellow Ranger enthusiasts will be able to help out. I'm in Lake City, FL. Will pay reasonable price for part plus shipping. Picture is of part I need.

Put a manual t case in and never look back. Maybe solder each wire to each pin as a quick fix for now?

Had to fix one of those a few years ago. If you can pull the entire pin out of the connector do it and go get some new pins for a molex connector from radio shack.

Clip your old wires and crimp on the new pins and replace in connector if it is still not a tight connection then mix up a bit of epoxy and epoxy the wires to the connector making sure it doesn't get on the pins.
