My ford dealer has told me that they will not honor the tire warrantee because I have not inflated them properly using OEM air. They said they will redo the tires using factory specified air and gave me a quote of 399.00 plus tax for parts and labour.is there any way around this? I realize that prices keep going up especially for factory parts and union labor is not cheap but what’s wrong with aftermarket air? Those dang chineese are selling a can for half the price of the dealers even if it's not the same psi rating! Any suggestions???

Are you serious? You have to take the truck back to the dealer to put air in the tires?

Bulls**t. Take it to another dealer.

Now if you ran them underinflated, that's another story.

wait a minute... youre joking, right??

WTF, am I mis-understanding?

You need to use their compressor to keep them happy? Other compressors arn't good enough?

I hope this is a joke

this has to be a joke....

Late april fools?

Comeon you guys i'm serious the dealer says that there will soon be a world wide shortage unless the factory discovers new resourses! What are we going to do then when the price goes even higher? What will ford specify to use then?

i dunno, maybe when the air runs out, they will start using moon air... :dntknw:

Chinese air smells like rice. You can only use it to fill foreign car tires.

:icon_rofl:

This is clearly and undeniably a hoax. I think you are BORED, lol

I was told that since india bought Jaguar they will be hoarding all the supply, but they will use low grade air which will certainly cause higher rolling resistance and increased wear. You guys may be laughing now but just wait a few more months when the asembly line grinds to a halt and tires start falling apart due to non OEM specified parts!

Nothing of mine has had factory air or even factory tires for at least 2 years, absolutly no problem.

This is even crazier than the nitrogen hype.

why dontcha use some a that air in yer head to inflatecher tires, sounds like ya got plenty up there...

Make sure you switch back to summer air as well since winter is over. You dont wanna mess up your tires by just forgetting to do that.
