Ordered mine Tuesday, it was delivered yesterday, and I'm installing it tomorrow (weather permitting). :icon_bounceblue:

I was on the fence for a while about exhaust. I knew I'd do a cat-back some day, but I never really got motivated enough to pull the trigger. Then when I was ordering my Extang tonneau (also on sale at Jeg's BTW) I saw the rebate for the Dynomax cat-backs. It came out to $114.97 after rebate, with shipping, handling, and the FedEx "oversize" fee--actually a bit less than that, when you consider that the handling fee covered the whole order, not just the exhaust. :icon_cheers:

This almost sounds too good to be true...165 bucks for a whole catback system plus a 75$ rebait??? WOW they wanted 241 bucks just for a thrush ultraflow MUFFLER in a speedy auto shop yesterday.

Even better if you drive an 82-92 Ranger. $24.99 plus shipping & handling for a cat-back! :icon_surprised:

What model are the mufflers? Doesnt say... There's turbo, super turbo, ultraflow, ultralow ss, 2 chamber, glasspack, etc etc

Ordered.

35 bucks plus shipping and handling for a cat back system. not bad at all. how big is the diameter of the tubes?

I believe the one I got (#17315) is 2.25" at the front, flaring to 2.5" at the entrance to the muffler, and then 2.5" tubing from the muffler to the tip. Mandrel bends throughout. :icon_thumby:

Looks like some of the earlier applications are just 2.25" and start right at the muffler entrance rather than going all the way up to the Y-pipe flange.

Yep 2.25. I e-mailed the guy about it to request 2.25's cause I figured theyd be be stock..He said 2.25

anyone know if they sound pretty good? i havent been able to find any clips of them and was leaning toward a flowmaster 40 series till i learned about this deal

I just finished installing mine and took it for a test drive. I am very happy with the sound. It's not loud, but it's "assertive" when you gun it. (Just loud enough to hear in the cabin w/ the windows rolled up and the stereo off.) Cruising at constant speed you hardly hear it at all. Purrs like a kitten at idle, but at least you can hear it outside the truck. I couldn't hear the stock setup at all which was a bit lame.

Some exhaust systems change their tone after a break-in period. I wouldn't mind it if it got a wee bit louder, but I'm certainly not complaining with how it sounds now. :icon_hornsup:

If you like the Flowmaster 40 sound, this probably won't be loud enough for you. You could, of course, buy the cat-back for the pipes alone, fleabay the Super Turbo, and swap in a Flowmaster of equal size (if they exist) when you install it.
