DD please help

RangerSVT, not stepping on my toes at all! 1/4" lines can take 10,000 psi. Just got to be some reason like you said, a mechanical reason for not using them. The higher the pressure, the better they seal, just like "O" rings. Now really wondering what is used in high pressure off road equipment.

I like

the idea of using the premade lines. You can buy them on-line in various lengths; just measure the old ones to get the right lengths you need. Only bending . . . no flaring! :) (But you still need the special wrenches!)

I think most auto stores carry them in stock, no shipping charges on them things.

Yes. I used premade lines. Only problem is the available lengths are limited and some of the lines have different size fittings on either end.
I had to cut and flair a few lines. Bought a double flair tool, tubing cutter, flair wrenches and a file. It wasn't too bad. Had to change out a tee.
Only real problem is/was some lines are too long and are rubbing steering components. I was in a hurry to get done....need to redo it all the right way before I take
It on the road. Also, the line from master cylinder to passanger side is routed through everything. Instead of replacing entire line i just cut out what wash bad and flaired a new fitting.....it really needs to be completely changed out.
No leaks though so good for me!
However, the emergency brake is now sticking. I can't win. I'm not sure if its just the Cable or if my shoes area sticking.
One thing after another.
sorry about spelling and grammer. Cell phones and whiskey don't mix. Made my smart phone look like a retard.
