I know I saw this on someone's truck, but I saw a switch panel on a Ranger that is at the bottom of the dash in the center over the transmission hump. My '01 is an Edge and down at bottom of my dash center is just a large 4x2" rectangular hole by the airbag on/off light. It is deep and I just throw junk in it, but I'm getting a set of OKOLE seat covers with heaters and I first thought that would be a good place for switches and then somewhere I saw a Ranger with switches already there. Anyone know of a switch panel that fits in this rectangular hole? Someone may already offer these or possibly it is a factory panel. I couldn't find anything on ebay. Thanks for your help.

Has no one ever seen switches in that rectangular hole? I saw a on youtube video about "no heat" check list for a '01 Ranger, that had 2 switches in that pocket. I can't find anything except seeing that video.
Here's the link for the youtube video. It is pretty early in the video so it doesn't take long to see the 2 switches.

It looks nice but I don't think those are factory switches.

That era of truck is not more forte though.

Those aren't factory. Ford never put any type of upfitter switch in the Ranger. I would drop a comment on the video asking about them.

a lot of the guys fab their own parts. Maybe what you saw was something like that.

Edit: just watched the video and retract my statement
Idk?

No, the location is a factory slot, just the switches have been added.
