dangerranger1983 build

I dont have the extra hundred at the moment or I would have and sold the rims for a bit more.

As for rims, my co-worker says he may be able to find me a better set of rims to mount the tires then what I have on the truck now, he knows what style Im looking for and can get them to me cheap. If not to the J/Y go to find some or buy new ones for $50 each on summit. Last thing I want are aluminum rims.

I just want to hear them humming going down the road. But due to there size, really need to re-gear the axles before mounting them. Still need to get my driveshaft done but buy the tires first then that.

Decided to buy the rims with the tires. Told that they will fit GM and toyota 6 bolt but came off a toyota. Can anybody confirm this for me?

i am sure they are the same but not 100% positive.

Thanks guys, now to email the guy and wait till Saturday to get them. I'll sell or trade the rims off for some black steel ones.

I need to get my front friveshaft done, no questions asked. Roads after work tonight wer ice and snow coverd and being my first year driving in snow I need a little extra help, not saying 4wd is going to make it 100% safe but should help a little. I also need to put weight in the back of my truck too, but I know just what to use for that, just need a few bags of concrete and one of the old tires outside to fill it up with. Works great with my dads truck.

As for the tires, meeting up with the guy Saturday to get them, just need to find a good time to meet up with him. Plus its payday Friday, all my check plus more is going to the tires but I cant pass up the price on them, I priced them new and they were way above the price Im getting them for. Good thing about me, I always stay money ahead in the bank.

u will be suprised that ur stock gearing wont be too bad with the 32's. ive run them in lots of trucks, its tolerable on the road and gets the job done offroad until the inevitable happens

But Im running a 2.8 though. I mean I guess I could try the tires with 373s and see what it does but since Im going to be putting an 8.8 under the truck, I'll find one with 410s and just regear the front if the 410s work fine.

I will say that first gear isnt ran for long with my current tires and it runs high rpms going down the road at spped, would like to lower them a bit since I dont have an OD tranny. At 65mph Im running 3200 rpm.

I have a decent set of rims I can mount the tires to but I was going for a better looking set but may just forget about that and work with what I have for now.

Got the tires to my house and now I cant wait to get them on my truck!!!!!!!

whats the DOT code. Would like to know where they were made and when...

Leaving for work soon, cant ge the code at the moment but Im told they are 3 years old and were only on the toyota for a short time due to it couldnt turn them very easily in mud unless it was in 4lo, so he put stockers back on it and they have been sitting ever since. They all still hold air which works for me. They didnt see street time, they have no balancing weights on them but you can see spots on the rims from previous tire weights it had at one time. But im not to worried, no chunks missing such as from rock crawling, in sand, etc... Still have the little rubber wiskers on them in some spots.

SWWWEEEEETTTTT!!! look's like you should be a little more capable now if you get that driveshaft finished

Im going to call today about the driveshaft, snow drifts and ice are getting at there worse. Couldnt leave 2nd gear and go above 20-25mph. We had shut down work early due to the weather. Not as worried about getting the tires on as much as I am getting her 4wd again.

Did decided to drive through some nice sized drifts on my way home and went right through them like nothing. Nice not having the TTB to act as a plow like it did before the SAS. Im told that a driveshaft lengthing can cost anywhere from $50 - $100 plus I need them to put a new u-joint on it too. Have to get another one since my dad need the one I had for it in a pintch.

Calld around and there one person in my area that does driveshat modding so going there tomorrow to get it done. Would call but cant find a number but know the location which is next to a new outdoor huntting ammunition store I have been wanting to check out along with my dad.

what is your front driveshaft look like? does it have the double cardan u-joint or single? also does your transfer case have the slip yoke or fixed?
