you may want to use a 5 pin relay with the auto setting that will kick it out when you turn it on hi manual.

many of the fans will seem like they have a medium speed when you hook both powers up but they usually burn out in short order. some can work that way but most dont.

i found that out the hard way.:icon_twisted:

So basically what you are saying is when I turn the high setting on I'm actually turning both on and that can cause a problem.

When I hook the high speed wire up when the fan is on or off the speed is the same.

I need to look into how the Taurus setup is wired from the factory. I think I'm already running the Taurus relay, just not all the wiring to it. I will say however the high setting was hooked up by the PO, it has an eye-let end on the high speed wire. Im running the wiring that he ran but since his truck was used in drag racing, I assume it was hooked up to turn on with the truck off via toggle switch to cool it off.

I first need to get a new temp gauge and see how hot my engine is first and then go from there but will consider the 5 pin relay. My dad it's good with wiring and whatnot, I suck at it (who do you think has wired this truck to this point?)

i use the ircm/s sometimes if they are fresh and the fan is to be computer controlled.

its the reason i started piggy backing regular relays to split the loads.

one 30 amp relay wont run a mark fan too many cycles, but three will.

So what would you say is a good size relay that I should be hooking up for the high setting? If I can't find a single cheap enough, like you said I can pigtail/daisy wire relays to split the load (I will have to look up how to do that one). Maybe I can pop a few hoods at my local jy and nab a relay that way.

I do need to finish getting my cooling system hooked up, right now it's not hooked up to the over flute and pukes on the ground when filled up like it should when warmed up, just need to get a couple of 90 barbs and some hose too get output hooked to the overt flow tank.

Got a three day weekend coming up so I will try to squeeze getting the cooling system hooked up right and a new temp gauge in with me hopefully finishing the xmember.

go get one of those mini kegs and enyoy it it about the size of a gallon of milk i guess.......then turn it into an overflow can.

I still have my factory over flow box that works plus is free. I do however want to get a new radiator cap, the age on mine is unknown.

Another thing I had asked to me but I don't know the answer to, what years/makes/etc...Taurus had the single cooling fan like what I have? I had a buddy ask me because he wants to put one in front of his 4.0, but I lack the answer.

It's taking me forever to finish a six pack (bottles) let alone a mini keg, just to busy anymore to be able to sit down and drink like I want.

I always have time to enjoy a few beers. I had way to many last night welding that trailer together. Maybe that's why my welds look so beautiful.

I'm making time to enjoy a beer out two again now a days. Also wish I had a house with a garage to work on the truck in too but that may be a few years down the road.

I just don't my family growing up in an apartment. Having an actual house place too call yours would be nice. Plus having a yard to be able to mow, garden, etc...would be nice. Hopefully the economy stays nice so that jobs stay afloat, including mine.

Worse part is trying to save up enough to have enough set back for winter time, due to my work slows down that time of year, and also try and find a cheap family vehicle. But getting highered on full time has helped, starting to get ahead like every other person is trying to do in this country.

it's nice until you need a new roof or something else that costs a fortune lol

Like an ac unit.

Got a brand new one of those this year on my place. Went to turn it on and didn't work. New apartment, new ac. Plus they just reroofed the place last year too.
