dangerranger1983 build

Law men are everywhere around me. Saw 3 in a 10 mile trip yesturday. I do wonder what it would sound like running a straight pipe or aftermarket muffler of some kind. My stocker muffler is starting to rust on me, at least the inlet/outlets are, hopefully they will give soon.

i like my 4.0 on just pipes. no muffler!!

Got a video of what it sounds like, has alot of background noise, my mic picks up the small noises very easily but you can hear the sound of the headers in the background, which is what Im going for.

If it wasnt raining outside, I would get the ramps out and flex it to check everything out.

Not much of an update, more of I polished my turd and met up with an ol' highschool buddy that has one sweet ranger.

First off painted my headers now that the coating has burnned off..

Then found a new can of flat black paint in my room so decided to paint the brush guard..

Anf for my buddys truck. Didnt get many pics of it was limited on time and catching up on times but i will say that this truck is nice. It has the DJM lowering kit, 4/5 that is, Hurst short shifter, and a ton of other goodies that I can remember. It started out stock and he has done all the mods to it. He will be putting an exploder 8.8 in it and says that he will give me his 7.5 that has the same gears as what I have now to me.

So when you going to make your truck all one color?

One color what is that? Okay so it will be one color but I just cant part with the hood being the color it is, have to keep it the color it is, may not even paint it. May just paint it the gray color the cab is now. Not really much body work that Im going to do to it but will finish up my cab corner(s) and give it a cheap laquor paint job, dont need a shiny clear coat on her, no need to polish my turd.

If my truck ever saw offroading then it would be great for OTOTM but that may take awhile till I get a winch and the other little things that it takes to go offroad and still make it home.

Need to put the details of what my truck has so far in my sig. still, may do that later but going on vacation to Holiday World in 2 hours and ya, I just got off work not to long ago so no sleep for awhile. Its a 4 hour drive for me but the truck wont see any of it, going with some co-workers in one of there vehicles.

why not paint the wholetruck the same color as the hood?

Then it will be an eye sore plus my title says it is gray and I dont want to go through the mess of changing all of that.

i think it would look good that color. i used to have a b2 a similar
color and i liked it

Yep. That old B2 i had was the same color. Must of been a popular color then.

My truck was originally turd brown but when we got it, it was primered gray. Now the donar vehicle that it came off of was that color. It was an 84 2wd ranger that said explorer on the bed sides, bought it kept what pieces that I could off of her and scrapped the rest.

Right now on vacatiuon but nothing to do atm at the hotel so why not get on. We are about to leave to finally fo to the place now, only a few miles down the road. Only took us 5 hours of driving to get here.

Are you still having death wobble issues or did you get that all squared away?

Got the death wobble fixed after the second towing home. Jacked it up and turns out the tarckbar end that mounts to the frame mount was lose but when I jacked the front tires off the ground and started looking around I had grabbed one of the tires to get up and thats when I noticed that it had a ton of side to side movement. so I wobbled the tires back and forth a few times and saw that the trackbar was loose so gave her a good tightening and all has been good to me.

But now I have other things comming up, nothing major but will do them when I get the money and the time, just to be sure everything is good. My front axle seal is leaking a little on the driverside which means I have to pull the carrier out to replace it, and the other one while Im there, then may do the ball joints.

Oh ya back from vacation. Was a total of just over 400 miles and 8 hours of driving but good thing I didnt put my truck throught that, unless I was going wheeling somewhere for a few days.

Holiday world is cool. I havn't been there since I moved up here from Evansville. That was in 91. I'm sure tons have changed there since...
