Ya its nice for an engine that has almost 185,000 miles too. But I don't have a spare vehicle so I have to do this in a days time too.

im sure you've already said it but whats the specs on the rims. im looking at them and plan to run the same size tire.

They are the soft 8's off summit, total for all of them was just over $200. They are 15 inch and 8 inches wide.

Okay now that Im home, herres a link to the exact ones that I have.

Learning how to hyper link from a friend so hope it works.:shok:

Well instead of starting a thread in the exhaust section hopefully I may get an answer here. Does anybody body know how tight to tighten bolts for headers? Hopefully will be putting them on here soon.

id think you torque them down same pattern as a stock manifold. as for the torque #s themselves i dunno. but while your at it if you have the $ id look into the stage 8 locking fasteners.

basicly a tab that sits against the header tube that way the bolts cant back off. headers have a habit of constantly having to be retightened for a while because of all the heat cycles

Ya i have heard about headers doing that. I will also be putting anti-seize on the bolts too. May look into the locking fasters too, right now just want to get them on, weather permitting when I wake up to do them in like 6-7 hours maybe.

My chiltons says 20-30 ft lbs for exhaust manifold. I cant find a bolt pattern but if you pull them in evenly from the top to bottom 5 ft lbs at a time to 30 ft lbs you should be safe. If the bolts are old and rusted get some stainless bolts to put it together. Using lock tite on old bolts can cause future broken bolts besides I dont think you need the longer bolts used on stock manifolds. The threads only need to be 1 1/2 times the width of the bolt shaft in length.

Use studs instead of bolts in case you need to remove them later

I have to get shorter bolts then what the engine has now. The instructions say 10mm x 22mm bolts, my headers didn't come with them so I will have to get them. I'm going grade 8 on them no questions asked and anti seize and will replace the bolts every year. Thing is I can't find the headers for sale online anywhere but I did find out how much they are worth new. May get the bolt lockers don't know yet but I will g the high temp paint for the headers since what it has on it only protects it from rusting during shipping so I have some work ahead of me now before I put them on.

Well went and got header bolts. They are ones that have a locking wire that goes through them. Didnt get them due to that reason, got them because they are in the correct length and number I need plus cost half the price of what it would getting them online.

Havent got to the truck yet but had a sudden thing happen to me the other night. Truck ran great then filled her up with gas drove a short distance and got to a stop light. Went to take off and had severe hesitation. I thought that I had got bad gas due to how sudden it was but I changed my fuel filter and she is good again, old one had rust commoing out of it. Running a clear one now, parts store didnt have any metal ones but this will allow me to see when I need to change it befdore it happens again.

Helped my girlfriends brother to move, didnt have any rope to tie stuff dowbn but had a roll of duct tape on hand....

Dont try this at home please, Im a professionaly traned idiot.

I will say I did that three more times and non of the tape broke. But people following me still wanted to ride my ass the entire time I was driving....why do they do that????

Cause people are stupid and dont care. When i used to drive a semi they would pull out in front of u and then turn off right away. They dont realize that a 80,000lbs truck cant stop on a dime...needless to say i have hit a few cars.
