dangerranger1983 build

procomp is what i am using and works for me. Yes you should consider using the other bracket since it has the taper in it for the tierod end. Might be able to use just the bottom part and somehow fabricate it to your bracket thats on there now. Just my two cents.

When I made my trackbar mount, I made sure that it had a taper in it for the TRE, used a dremel tool to help with that but my problem was I just didnt tighten it down enough. Been driving her over all the roads that gave me problems and I have no DW so all is good now.

As for my steering stablizer, Im going to fab a bracket to the one bracket above my axle track bar mount. Ordered the one with the dual eye holes. The other bracket wont work, tried it before with the other steering stablizer thats on the old draglink when I first did the SAS, it wouldnt allow me to turn all the way right. If the weather was half way decent outside, I would be doing touch up work right now to stuff. Shock should be to me in 2-4 days.

On my todo list now is get steering stablizer hooked up, keep my eye out for a cheap priced winch (oh ya theres fabbing to put that on, have to re-enforce the bumper to the frame better), maybe build a better rear bumper, paint job???? rear tire carrier (get one off a BII in the j/y) and other stuff off roading will require. Basicly alot to do and thats not even the start of the list, right now its driveable.

Well it showed up in the mail yesturday but wasnt able to get on my computer till now. Plus what I was using for a camera which did uploads in no time took a puke (calling tech support tomorrow) so have to use my phone, upload that to one web site then download that to photobucket using firefox due to photo bucket isnt working on internet explorer then get on TRS with internet explorer..........anyways (ranting and raving done) hopefully get it halfway started on the mounting bracket for it tomorrow, weather permitting.

Also looking at building a custom rear bumper, but I cant see me parting from my current front one, just love how it looks on my truck but thats a later project.

Got the shock bracket made and the shock mounted, went smoother then expected, just need to get on some bumpy roads and see how much better steering is now, felt a bit better going around my neighborhood.

Wow after much digging, found my build thread. Finally got some time to work on her, not much but now I wont be rubbing my tires on my findders anymore, was gettting annoying and wearing them out too. Only took a total of 10 minutes.

And while I was under there, found this out about my axle too.....the last owner welded the tubes to the diff. housing, guess I wont be spinning them anytime soon.

I was wondering how much clearance you had at the frame right behind the link brackets. Mine is at 22 1/4". Yours just looks like it sits higher than mine. Maybe its just the picture.

My link mounts sit behind my tranny cross member.

As for cab corners...the metal that I cut off from my finders can be my replacement pieces, sure they wont be an exact match but they will be better then nothing and actually would look like they were made to be there.

Going outside to start the driverside one now and cut what I can for it for now.

How much ground clearance? Should of been more specific.

From the ground to the bottom of my frame Im at 21.5 inches. From the ground to the bottom of my kick pannel Im at 24.5 and from the ground to the top of my findder wheel well Im at 38 inches.

Okay more progress, ya it may look ugly but not going for show quality and Im working with what I have got. Hopefully get it welded to the cab tomorrow, dont have time before work today.

What Im starting with.

Quick question, what size tires you running? Don't want to look back through the pages

So you actually have a little more lift than me, I have 35" tires and 22 1/4" at the frame...must be the bigger motor and x-cab.

Im running 32x11.50x15 inch tires, BFGoodrich MT's.

The bigger engine will make the front sit lower and also being an extended cab too.

Well this was all I was ale to get done this morning before leaving for the weekend to go to the girlfriends house, still alot to do but better then it was.

that is not a bad job and looks much better than before! haha good work man.

Well small update. Went outside to see how bad it would be to get one of the manifold bolts out and one lead to another and turns out they all loosened very easily so that means sometime very soon I will have my headers on her.

Nice. Doesn't get any better than that
