dana28 to 35... driveshaft

ok so in in progress of swaping my axles. d28&7.5 to d35&8.8
i read that my driveshaft has to be shortened/ cant i use the front shaft from my doner ranger?

Yes, you can.

But...what tranny does your BII have and what tranny does the ranger have?? Some are longer than others...

the ranger is an 92 it has same tranny. a4ld. and it has a 2.9. im keeping the ranger to use as a daily driver. after i swap the axles. and im not lifting it im just goin to run some 235/75/15 trail diggers just incase. only thing is that the vin# is gone from the dash but i got the # from the door and need to get a title. my friends grandpa gave me the truck for 50 bucks and i drove it home after i took the thermostat out and put fresh gas in it. suprisingly the thing started right up.

I have a 86 b2 came with a auto and a 1350 and a d28.Parted out a 90 ranger came with a auto and a 1350 and a d35 measured the drive line exactly the same length.Left me kinda wondering.I thought I had a drive line for a swap but I don't.

You can use the donor's driveshaft if you also swap in it's 1354 t-case as well.

Mine both had 1350s in them can you put a 1354 drive line on a 1350?

No, that's why you have to swap the t-case to fit the driveshaft (the front output on the cases are different). If you had a truck with a D35 and a 1350, something's been swapped at some point on it.

The 13-50 was NEVER factory installed in a D35 RBV.

There is NO factory driveshaft to connect them.
