I just got back my old high school truck and at some point since I had it the front end was swapped with a Dana 35 from a 94 and the truck is a 95. I found that out trying bro buy new calipers. Anyways how can I make sure they put the correct geared axle in. I have the third member out and on my floor but didn't see any ratio on the ring gear. Thank you

Count the teeth on the Pinion Gear and then count the teeth on the Ring Gear

Divide ring gear number by pinion gear number

Say ring gear has 41 teeth and pinion 10 teeth, 41 / 10 = 4.1, so 4.10 ratio

Also should be stamped in the ring and pinion. Mines stamped 41 11 meaning 3.73

This. You should find it along the edge of the ring gear.
(on the pinion you won't see it unless you remove it... it's stamped on the stem between the bearings).

"41-10" = 4.10
"41-11" = 3.73
"39-11" = 3.55
"36-11" = 3.27
