I have a Daisy air rifle, it was advertised as a 22X but is marked as a model 822 on the barrel, I got it in the late 90's. It is a neat rifle, looks like an 880 but has a metal receiver and wood forearm and stock. Being .22 cal it packs quite a wallop compared to the .177 880's others in my family have.

The thing doesn't hold pressure, I oil the piston and it lasts for about a day so I think the seals are shot.

I have an email into Daisy if they offer a seal kit or anything similar, is there anywhere else to get pellet rifle parts?

I have an 880 from the 80's .177,same problem. I searched and finally contacted Daisy who told me that parts are no longer available. I can't seem to part with it tho'. Hopefully someone comes threw with some info.

take it apart real carefull and make the seals yourself. if there oring type of seals go to the haedware store and have the old nasty clerk match them up. or if there cork type go to the auto parts store and buy some gasket cork .

worth a try if it don't work pitch and say at least you tried!!!!

good luck . post back and let us know how it turned out.

The O-Rings are easy, we have a wide variety at work. The snag is there are more parts than that.

I did find this website with pictures and a couple links for parts a little bit ago, might help JC-97 out too.

Same here, just when things were looking good with one of them but then she split town to go to college up in the big city.

well i was gonna say find a bb gun forum and they might could tell you what would work. but you already did that

if they dont know anything, get you some orings and make other gaskets as needed. then save a couple extras for next time

Yep....rebuild it yourself...and if it's too broke....don't pitch it....hang it on a nail for memories 20 years from now.....

been there.....doing that(the memories part)........ :yahoo:

Yeah, I ain't gonna pitch it. :icon_thumby:

Heard back from Daisy, they don't have any parts but they did send me an exploded view with part numbers and a list of places that have parts. The JG place listed in the previous thread is the second one down.

For parts, value or repair on the older model guns you will need to contact one of the gunsmiths listed below. We no longer have parts or do repairs on discontinued models. We suggest you contact them prior to shipping your gun for repair charges with shipping and handling.
