Damnit, I typed out a long thing about today then I got kicked off of the 'net and I lost the post. So here's the shortened version:
Explorin was busy with Mother's Day stuff today, so I called up another buddy to do some wheelin. Went up to his place, had a great time.
His rig: 'yota, 22re, doubler, stretched on 39.5" boggers
He owned me on a lot of obstacles, mostly due to being lighter, on a larger tire, and running lower pressure.
Loose climbs, I was able to rip in 3rd gear single low. With the 4.0, I'd say 3rd gear is what 2nd gear was with the 3.0 (power wise). So I can now hold 3rd, and 2nd has power at will. Spin tires at any rpm in 2nd. Awesome.
Pics of his rig:
Only pic I got of my rig:
We were coming across that ridge, straight towards where the pic was taken from. Driver's tire sucked off, pulled the truck with. Sides were STEEP. Hooked a strap to the frontend to pull me in the right direction. Textbook extraction. Sooo, my getting hung up there was the only opportunity I had to take a pic of my truck.
That pic looks weak as shit, but it was steep on the driver side. Any more throttle would've sucked the frontend down, unloading the rear. Pucker meter was on the rise.
Yes, cell pics suck.
