This thread isn't about FW or not FW, I know the trails I go on and I know I need the stability, if I want to hear the debate Ill go to that thread you already started

if u payed attention you would see i posted that well before i started the thread:thefinger:

why full width though, is just a question rolling around in my head....i thought the purpose of all of us with the smaller trucks is SO we DONT fall in all the fullsize truck ruts, thats what makes a smaller truck so bad ass. i really do not see the point of putting full width axles under it, u can no longer navigate those tight trails to that fun stuff full size trucks only dream about.

sas is all well and good, but those are just my thoughts. now u may continue down ur road that makes no sense(to me atleast) lol

and im just curious how many people that put the full width axles in there truck actually get away with driving them i know here in the great communist state of nj if you do not have complete tire coverage on a lifted truck(much more on full width under a small truck) they can impound ur shit

vote in common sense lawmakers.

OBVIOUSLY f/w axles do present pitfalls.

BUT

dude....not nearly as much as having an ext cab truck.

the idea of f/w 60's left me wondering how bad certain trails would be after such a swap. while i am still unlocked, several test trails i use as a modification gauge were vastly improved with the f/w axles and combined with a smaller body really cleans it up. the one thing i miss with the ttb 35 is that it had a better turning radius then the d60 which allowed for better maneuverability in certain terrain, but once i am twin stik that wont matter. where if i twin stick a 35 all it will do is bust...at least the 60 dont bust every time i get jiggy with it.

pennsylvania has actually booted me in the past under threat of towing the vehicle to a facility to make it compliant to their standards if i dare drive their roads. i was not prepared to challenge at the time and just turned around.

my work commute generally varies from 150 or more miles per day when in michigan....sometimes 3000 or more in a week with my current job just to get to the work area and back. 3500-3700 average working down there.

i get hassled, but rational logical explanations keep me on the road ticket free....except for pa....i am sure nj would net the pa result.

that tells me allot about those places.

i have a cracked windshield AGAIN, and AGAIN it was busted by a totally normal car kicking a rock. :dunno:

for the all around, whether a guy is ttb, sla, or straight axle..full width is king imo.
