1985.... how much have you guys been drinkin' tonight?
Take 10 years off of that. I like my junk powered by big ol happy healthy shadetree friendly fuel-slobberin CARBS not that first-gen computer controlled "feedback" crap. We're just about two decades into the 21st century and you're telling me you guys prefer using computers built 35 years ago? Every car I've had except for the old Explorer & Mazda have needed new computers. The ones on my desk barely last 5-7 years before giving up the magic smoke and you want me to get half a century out of one in a dirty, dusty, oil soaked engine bay?
Only points '85 gets regard the first quality pump-free cats, and yes, I do run cats even with carbs for the sake of everyone around me. 35 years of advancement has made the things a bit more trustworthy and a bit finicky, all well and good in the age of the cell phone & tow truck.
