Curious about limited slip differential

I watched a video on it but had on question. I know the pin in the middle turning causes preasure on the peices causing them to stay ingauged. So how does it disengauge around corners?
 
When you put enough force on the clutches, like when turning, they just slip. That's why it's called limited SLIP.
