Cummins One ton Build on Bags...

Got the rear body mounts done. Have to put fish plate on all my joints now to finish the front body mounts. Ill post pictures tomorrow.

Looks good so far. Heck of a motor for the truck.

I think your gonna have problems with the tons with that much torque, but looking good so far :icon_thumby:

Front balljoints are going to last weeks at a time at the most. :icon_rofl:

Ill run a kingpin 60 and 14 bolt. They will be the week link for sure. But I dont want rocks. To big for what I want and a real shitty gear ratio for 3200 rmp diesel on 39s. My 350 puts out about 300 hp and 600 ft. On 37s with a balljoint 60 havent broke that yet but dont wheel it to hard. I didnt get anything done today the wife was home all day so have to do other crap. And its been cold and im sick of breathing diesel fumes from the heater.

I understand the 3200 rpms on a diesel, but are you really going to run it that fast on the street to worry about those high rpms?

BTW, congrats on the family addition :icon_thumby:

No probly not I need to hit atleast 55mph so I can drive it around town. I dont know the stock 12 valve is ran with just one tons and about 7-8000 lbs.my ford is almost 10000 lbs. Should have same power same axle and maybe 6000 lbs. I dont know I never really thought axles would be a problem im more worried about my adapter from the nv4500 to the ford 205. Figured my weakest link would be the intermedent shaft. My real problem is trying to fit the radiator and intercooler. It goes from inside of the head light to the other. Its almost wider than the front clip

Use dual ranger radiators, one in the core support, the second one plumbed in the bed, or just mount the big rad in the bed...

Thats what I was going to do but need to do the intercooler also and thats a long way to run intercooler plumbing but it could be done. I think I was going to run the big block triple core. The problem is the dodge one is long and skinny its like 48 inches wide and 18 tall. Figured I could get one with close to the same volume and surface area just different shape more square to fit in my frame rails

Just run the intercooler in the core support were the radiator should be and rear mount the radiator.

What about running a water to air intercooler with a setup like on the 04 cobra, or a style like the Paxton supercharger wta intercooler. A lot smaller, and more efficient...

Water/meth helps alot too if you cant have a big enough intercooler. You said it'll be on airbags? From the trucks ive seen they're really bad for unloading. Both when climbing and if you stuff a tire into a wall and hit the throttle the body rises first. Also could have been shitty link geometry too.

Ill definitely be watching this one
