Cruise control not working on 1994

And another common thing to check, that I forgot, is to make sure that the dump valve is seated on the brake pedal. It just pushes into a mounting clip, and it can back out which reduces or eliminates the vacuum that's supplied to the servo.
I’ll look in the break pedal for that

Is the dump valve the metal thing or is it the bucket looking thing with a cloth peace in it

This thing you can barely see in the background is the speed sensor, but it looks pretty plugged-in.

Without more info, I'm on team brake pedal/vac problem. If there's not an obvious wire/vac fault, I'd test the servo directly, but you want to check all the simpler stuff first.

This is the dump valve assy:

The dump valve is separate from the break control right? Like I just replaced the brake control cuz my rear taillights weren’t working when I bought the truck.

Ah ok I see there’s a switch up behind that plastic thing. What’s that supposed to do right now I don’t think there’s making contact

That's your problem, then, or at least part of it.

That valve is NO and the plastic bracket holds it closed. If you can't clip the valve or bracket back up so it holds the valve closed, you can bypass the dump line (pinch it closed or pull the end of the dump valve and cap it) for testing.

Ok well what’s the purpose of it, I guess it’s also really hard to till if it’s being pressed or not but I’ll look

Early cruise controls used vacuum to move the throttle. So, when that valve opens, the vacuum in the servo is dumped to atmosphere and it stops controlling the throttle. In other words, tap the brake pedal to disengage cruise.

Ok, how do I know when that piece is in its slot I can’t get it to move.

Additionally is this piece not staying it its hole causing issues?

As long as the cables aren’t binding, it should be fine.

Okay update I slid a piece of paper up into that plastic plate and the valve and I can slide and move it around it may be just BARLEY pressing that valve how do I get this plastic piece slid up?

I'm not 100% on how the bracket attaches; I've never actually had a dump valve hooked up.

If it were me, and I wasn't sure, I would temporarily cap the line in the engine bay to bypass the dump valve first rather than screwing around under the dash.

What’s the purpose of the valve if it’s so easily bypassed
