Crimping a Terminal on a Spark Plug Wire(lawn mower)

Ok. Probably a question most who have done any kind of work on spark plug wires would say is a no brainer. However here is the situation.

I have a typical briggs and stratton engine. The metal terminal on the wire and sits in the end of the spark plug boot went bad. So i got a new terminal from Napa. Cut the bad terminal and boot off. Here is where the problem arose. How do i strip the wire? I can tell from what it looks like on the old on the wire has a center conductor, a thick outer jacket of some material, then rubber over that. I'm trying to figure out how to strip this wire and get it so i can crimp the new terminal on.

This is similar to the terminal Napa sold me. They didn't have the exact part number i needed but they had what basically is the same terminal.

The only difference with what napa sold me is the one they sold me is what the guy called a 90 degree terminal. I can take a picture tomorrow if needed the terminal is sitting in the car right now. If any of yall have advice on how to strip and crimp this thing i'm all ears. They only give so much wire on these mower coils and i can't afford to screw this up.

Don't strip anything. Find a short piece of stiff copper wire (about an inch long). Sharpen one end and insert it into the end of the ht lead, almost half inch. Then bend the remaining end over the outside of the insulation. insert it into the terminal and crimp it on.
